The Droid spies have been out again show a new glam shot of the soon to be released Droid 2(click on pic to enlarge). The Droid 2 is close in size to the classic Droid, with with the coveted FroYo Android 2.2 with tethering and mobile 3G Wi-Fi hotspots..
UPDATE 8/10/10: The Droid 2 has been officially announced and will be available for pre-sale 8/11 on the Verizon website. A nice added bonus is that Verizon customers with contracts ending any time before 12/31/2010 are eligible for an upgrade without penalty. Better get your
mouses running to Verizon website at the break of August 11.
Then there are leaked internal slides of showing the number 10 (for August 10th) official public announcement along with the start of internal communication, devices to reporters and Droid 2 in stores.
Then there's great news for buyers. Verizon will start off with an August 11 pre-sale online on the Verizon website. We don't know if it means direct shipping to customers or in-store reservations with pick up. The last Droid X launch didn't have an opportunity for online pre-sales. Other features we found in the leaked manual were more more MOTOBLUR social networking features, BlockBuster Video, DLNA, and photo sharing features along with SWYPE.
