Droid Incredible News: Droid Incredible Back in-Stock Ready for Update

It's back in stock and showing a ship date of today August 16.  Yesterday, rumors divulged that the Droid Incredible would be getting an upgrade to Android 2.2 (FroYo) on August 18.  If the spies are correct that means the Droid Incredible will be updated to Android 2.2 before the Droid X.

Some Droid Incredible orderers couldn't wait for it to be back in-stock  and changed their orders to the Droid X.  The Droid X now is not shipping until August 30, while the Droid 2 is still in stock. The limited edition R2-D2 Droid 2 will not be available until September 30.

In a comparison of the Droid Incredible and Droid X smartphones, the screen of the Droid X is 4.3 inches and it has and HDMI video out port, so if you're a big video and TV fan the Droid X may be your Droid. Other features are shown in the chart.  Battery life for the Droid X is longer and the call quality was lauded. The only problem is that you have wait until July 15.

A review of all the Droid Incredible reviews showed a rating of 4.25 out 5, while our compilation of Droid X reviews came in out a slightly higher 4.5.  Reviewers rated the Droid 2 4 out 5, loving the new and improved keyboard.
