Coming at 4:30 PDT, today, is the big Facebook announcement suspected to be about some kind of location-based service to hit Foursquare square on. There is now a new Twitter account named @FacebookPlaces, so we now know it will be place related an update to "Where U At?" It's suspected that the service will have a check-in element with incentives like Foursquare.
The announcement will be presented to the press and we are hoping it will also be on Facebook Live.
Another feature suspected to be announced is a suggestion feature to Facebook Pages, Groups, interests and others form an drop-down list as users type in the status box.
Facebook also has joined forced with with Tata Communications, in the Messaging Anti-Abuse
Working Group. "Our deep commitment to site security requires the
development of robust technologies and active engagement with
organizations like MAAWG. We look forward to collaborating with the
entire working group to aggressively fight messaging abuse."
MAAWG has grown into an industry conduit for bringing together
