LG to Android Smartphones, Tablets, Nividia Dual Core and 4G for Optimus Growth

tegra_250_MWP.jpgLG is not going to rest as it loses mobile device market share.  They have plans to development more Android smartphones, Tablets, dual-core smartphone and  be LTE 4G ready.

LG plans to launch 10 more smartphones and sell 5 million devices by the end of the
year. They also plan to launch an Android tablet with the ability to create content such as wordprocessing and video editing.

"Our tablet will be better than iPad," said Chang Ma, VP of Marketing for Mobile Devices.

In order to go so smartphone, they are increasing the research and
development budget by a third and ramping up its spending on marketing.

LG
is betting on Android, beginning  in September, LG will relaunch its
Optimus line of smartphones with its flagship Optimus One through 120
carriers.

The LG will launch devices using Nvidia Corp.'s dual-core processor
in the fourth quarter as well aso be aggressive with
fourth-generation, or 4G, technology, and build a phone compatible with
long-term evolution technology by early next year.

The Tegra 2 packs a lot of power and features including a dual ARM Cortex-A9
MPCore processors running at 1GHZ, 1080P HD video encoding/decoding,
HDMI out, su 12MP camera support and adisplay res of
1680×1050. Competing processors in the Droid X, Nexus One and Samsung Galaxy are 1GHz but only single core.
