EPIX and Netflix, have partnered so that
Netflix members can instantly view titles from EPIX streamed over the Internet from
Netflix. The deal will begin streaming from Netflix on September 1 and include movies from Paramount, Lionsgate
and MGM. Currently you can only get Netflix on computers or iPads. Netflix recently published a an employment ad looking for an engineer that will help it "build Instant Streaming client implementations on Android devices.

Netflix CEO Reed Hastings said users who "Watch Instantly" streaming service for 15 minutes or more during the second quarter jumped to 61 percent, up from 37 percent last year. He also indicated that Netflix is evolving from a DVD-by-mail supplier to a streaming service.
EPIX has subscription pay TV rights to new releases and movies from the libraries of its partners and will make these movies available to Netflix 90 days after their premium pay TV and subscription on demand debuts. Historically, the rights to distribute these films are pre-sold to pay TV for as long as nine years after their theatrical release.
