While new AT&T users have to choose between two capped data plans, Verizon Wireless is exploring more unlimited options.
Verizon Wireless is testing an unlimited talking, texting and data plan for $99 per month in
Los Angeles and San Diego. That's $20-per-month cheaper than what Verizon currently charges for unlimited talk, text and data. They didn't lower the $29.99 data portion of the way the do plans, but lowered unlimited Talk and Text to $69.99 a month. The move is in direct competition to Sprint's unlimited plan that also offers free Sprint TV and T-Mobile unlimited talk, text and data for $99 per month.
A Verizon Wireless spokeswoman said that it's limited-time promotion
available for single lines only, includes domestic long distance and is
not available for family plans.
Verizon has also been testing $50 prepaid monthly unlimited plan in
the Southeast, and unlimited any mobile plans in Texas and Louisiana.
Blogger content that Verizon trying to come up with a new pricing plan
soon and is trying out different options to see what works best.
