Android, BlackBerry & iTunes Media Helper Update: New RealPlayer Beta

RealPlayerbeta.JPGRealNetworks has a new RealPlayer that lets users play, sync and share photos, videos and music across many platforms.  It not only offers one-click video downloading and transferring to mobile phones, but now it allows users to move media off their mobiles into their RealPlayer library.

RealPlayer Beta
is available now at www.real.com/realplayer/beta.  The Android app is available also in beta on the Android market for syncing Android phones.  For iPhone users, RealPlayer works with iTunes.

The new RealPlayer supposedly makes it easier than ever before to manage and move media across platforms without worrying about file formats or conversion issues.  It will make it easier to move, manage and preserve all your media between screens.

The free, new RealPlayer allows users to:

Organize all their videos, photos and music in one place.

  • Download favorite videos from thousands of websites with one click.
  • Play more music and video file types, including H.264, 3GP, MP3, and AAC.
  • Copy favorite videos to an iPhone, iPad, Android, BlackBerry and other popular devices automatically.
  • Import photos taken on an Android, BlackBerry, or digital camera to a PC with one click; then share favorite photos on Facebook.
  • Sync music playlists between a mobile phone and RealPlayer.
  • Share favorite videos on Facebook, Twitter and MySpace.
  • Edit and trim videos to access favorite parts instantly.

An optional upgrade to RealPlayer Plus will be available in October for $39.99 and will include accelerated video downloading and transferring features, in addition to advanced CD and DVD burning features.

  1. This sounds similar to features I already have with Syncables...? The basic experience is comparable I guess, nevertheless I have much more use from Syncables!

I can play and sync my entire music library between any operating system, laptop, netbook, desktop, etc. Pictures, videos, files, emails, even contacts...and it works for Android and BlackBerry as well. I can share photos and videos directly from within the interface to Facebook, YouTube, etc.

If you want to sync more than just media...the comprehensive Syncables is so nice.
