BlackBerry BBM Lounge A-Lists with BlackBerry Limos and More

BlackBerryLoungjpg.jpgFor those of you that think only iPhones have celebrity users, check out the latest BlackBerry BBM Lounge party roster and photos.  Guests used Blackberry Messenger, using messages and photos sent over the RIM network, to gain access to the party and navigate their way through all of its features, including VIP limo shuttles up a Beverly Hills mansion.  They also had barcodes to scan for drink choices.

The Wireless and Mobile News staff was invited, but we are so popular we all had previous engagements. (Our editor said that she would only attend if they had a tech demonstration from RIM's Shelly Sofer, an A-lister in our book.)

We have uploaded more celebrity photos onto our Facebook page.  Xomad promises a new BBM Lounge party every month.  We will draw names from the Wireless and Mobile News "Like"s for free tickets to the next BBM VIP event.  Get your BlackBerry BBM ready to party!

The roster for this highly anticipated event included everyone from A-list hotties like David Beckham and Ryan Phillippe to fist-pumping "Jersey Shore" castmates Pauly D and Vinny Guadagnino (hey, they may not be A-listers, but they definitely draw a crowd like they are).

While most events boast about celebs in attendance, they fail to mention that the high-profile attendees come and go quicker than you can BBM. This was not the case at "The BBM Lounge"...the majority of the celebs were at the mansion before the event began and hung until the very end (when Ne-Yo performed for an intimate crowd of 300).

The venue for "The BBM Lounge" is renowned for hosting some of the most exclusive and over-the-top soirees for LA's social elite, including the Esquire Dinner which took place directly beforehand.  Dinner guests who broke bread (delicious Philippe Chow Bread) with mega-stars like Rihanna, Drake, Jermaine Dupri and Akon, were then escorted to "The BBM Lounge" on the lower part of the terrace where they enjoyed custom BlackBerry martinis, hors d'oeuvres, and complimentary BlackBerry batteries on
silver platters...all while rubbing elbows with LA's finest. (A quick note for the technophiles, we're hoping the batteries were wrapped in boxes or plastic because the silver trays could discharge the batteries.)
