As tablet wars heat up, Samsung wants users to create ads for its new Samsung Galaxy S tablet, the Samsung Tab and they are sweetening the offer with prizes up to $30,000.
Zooppa, user-generated advertising, is inviting the Zooppa creative community to work with the slogan "It's Go Time!" and produce videos, print and banner ads that answer the question, "If you had a Galaxy Tab, what creative things would you use it for?"
Creators of the ads will have the chance to win a total of $30,000.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab is part of the Android Galaxy S series and runs on Android 2.2, including full support for Adobe Flash Player 10.1. Samsung Tab users will be able to buy and rent videos via Samsung Media Hub. The Samsung Tab will be sold by Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T.
The Zooppa creative community can submit entries from October 1, 2010 to November 19, 2010. There are a number of prizes offered, including the Early Video Prize of $5,000 for video submissions received by October 30, 2010.
Videos submitted for the early prize will also be eligible for the grand prizes at the end of the competition on November 19, 2010. In order to get everyone involved and share in the creativity and excitement of the campaign, Samsung Mobile and Zooppa are offering an incentive to share video submissions:
All those who share their favorite videos with five friends will be eligible for a $5,000 prize draw. The sharing prize will be open until December 17, 2010.
Zooppa's active competitions, including Samsung, can be found at http://www.zooppa.com/contests.
