Best Top Windows Phones: Windows Phone 7: HTC HD7, HTC Surround, HTC Pro, Samsung Focus, Dell Venue Pro & LG Quantum Compared

Windows Phone 7.jpgThere are a lot of Windows Phones coming out in the next month or so.  We thought it would help to round up all the new smartphones with the well-reviewed Windows Phone 7 completely revamped operating system.  We rounded up six Windows Phone 7 smartphones that are coming to the United States.  To get a full view of all the features of the HTC HD7, HTC Surround, HTC Pro, Samsung Focus, Dell Venue Pro and LG Quantum, see the chart at the end of the article, which also shows the release dates.

All Windows Phone 7 phones have a 1 GHz processor, a 5-megapixel camera, at least a 3.8-inch screen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, at least 8GB of internal storage, 720p video recording, and at least 3G data-connection speeds.  The Windows Phone 7 smartphones differ in the size of the screen, type of screen, and input method.  Only the HTC Pro and Dell Venue Pro have keyboards.

The HTC HD7 has the largest screen at 4.3 inches and a kick stand; it is intended for viewing videos and comes with T-Mobile Family and T-Mobile TV.

The LG Quantum has a landscape slider with a 5-megapixel camera that takes 720p video. The LG Quantum has a 3.5-inch (480x800) touchscreen, DLNA connectivity, and 1 GHz Snapdragon processor.  "Designed for work, play and everything in between," the price will be $199 with a contract.

The Samsung Focus has a 4" super AMOLED touchscreen, 1 GHz Qualcomm QSD8259 processor, and 5-megapixel camera with HD video capture.  This is the "thinnest Windows Phone" and is $199.99 with a contract.  Read Samsung Focus review.

The HTC Pro is for business; it has a portrait keyboard with the ability to sort, scan and manage Outlook email, and open and edit the latest Office documents on the phone.

The Dell Venue Pro has a portrait slider with a QWERTY keyboard, FM radio and tough Gorillia Glass screen.
