The Open Mobile Summit takes place November 8-10 at the Marquis Marriot in San Francisco.  This year's keynotes at the annual industry Open Mobile Summit include Dan Hesse, Sprint CEO, and mobile app man of the moment, Dennis Crowley, Foursquare CEO.

4G is high on the agenda, as Dan Hesse is joined by Anthony Melone, CTO of Verizon Wireless, currently deploying nationwide LTE; Sanjiv Ahuja, CEO of the recently announced venture-backed challenger LTE network, LightSquared; as well as top execs from AT&T, T-Mobile and TeliaSonera - the world's first LTE network.  Expect insights on future 4G pricing strategies as well as on the evolution of the mobile video.

In the internet, apps and media corner the focus is firmly on monetization - with Bob Bowman, MLB.com CEO; Bart Decrem, Disney Mobile SVP; Raymie Stata, Yahoo! CTO; plus OMD, NBA, NPR, Disney, Hearst, eBay, Google and others - exploring the future of multi-screen media and advertising.

Meanwhile, Appcelerate, on Day 3 (Wednesday Nov 10), brings app idols from Zynga, Playdom, Booyah and Pandora to share the secrets of their success in building killer apps.

Finally, watch the platform wars come into focus as Google, Microsoft and RIM execs debate platform futures, and HTC, Samsung, Motorola and Intel set expectations for the next 12-18 months of device innovation.

"In 2009, the mobile ecosystem opened to the Internet opportunity, and the apps ecosystem emerged," said Robin Batt, executive producer.  "In 2011 it's going to explode.  4G and a new generation of connected devices will put mobile centre-stage, and fundamentally transform the way software, media and services are delivered."

"This is the age of mobile.  And as mobile, Internet and media market leaders converge ever closer to capitalize on the opportunity.  The Open Mobile Summit connects the brave and the bold across carriers, OEMs and apps to identify the future winners and losers," said Batt.
