T-Mobile announced on the T-Mobile Facebook page that they will offer the Samsung Tab "this holiday season." Sprint, Verizon and AT&T will also be selling the Samsung Tab, but have not officially announced dates yet.
Powered by the Android 2.2 platform, the Samsung Galaxy Tab has a 7-inch enhanced TFT touchscreen, 1Ghz Hummingbird processor, support for Adobe Flash Player 10.1, Samsung Media Hub (for TV and movie viewing) and Samsung Social Hub.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab has a 3.0 megapixel rear-facing camera and 1.3 front-facing camera for video calling. The battery can handle up to seven hours of video play. Accessories available include a keyboard dock, desktop dock, and car/GPS dock.
The Galaxy Tab has access to Media Hub, Samsung's content service, offering a lineup of films and TV programs for rent or purchase. Samsung is working with big names in entertainment, including MTV Networks, NBC, Universal Studios Home Entertainment and Paramount to assemble a full library of movies and TV programming, including new release films, next-day TV episodes and even full TV show seasons.
Media Hub also allows purchased content to be permanently owned and shared with up to five devices that carry the Media Hub application.
The Samsung Galaxy S series of phones that includes the Samsung Epic 4G, Samsung Fascinate, Samsung Captivate and Samsung Vibrant all come with the TouchWiz interface, seven home screens, various social hub features and Samsung Media Hub.
