There has been an interim update released for the Samsung Glaxy S, Samsung Vibrant that fixes "GPS issues" and adds Samsung Media Hub access.
The Samsung Galaxy S Twitter page tweeted, "JI6 OTA (over-the-air) now released for Vibrant! Watch for a message on your phone letting you know the update is ready for you! Thanks for your patience!"

The JI6 FOTA update has been released for Vibrant owners. Please watch for a notification from T-Mobile to let you know it's ready for installation, as it will be rolled out to your phones in segments. We appreciate your patience in receiving this update.
The Samsung rep on Facebook confirmed, "the GPS optimization is included in the update. The update includes GPS optimization from which many owners have reported improved performance."
Update 10/12/10 - The Samsung Facebook page confirmed that the JI6 Maintenance Release for the Vibrant is available via Mini Kies, and available to download from Samsung.com at http://bit.ly/ad5G6x.
