Samsung reported that three million of the seven million Samsung Galaxy S phones it has shipped worldwide have gone to the United Sates since July.

"We're in a situation where we wish we had more supply," Paul Golden, Chief Marketing Officer, told Reuters on Monday.

Some reports suggest that Samsung is at the point where demand is greater than supply, which is due to Super AMOLED shortages coming from the pressure on Samsung for the Super AMOLED Windows 7 Phone, the Samsung Focus.

On Monday Samsung and Verizon announced the Samsung Galaxy S Samsung Continuum, with a main Super AMOLED screen and a lower ticker screen.

If you are planning to buy a Samsung Galaxy S phone or tablet as a holiday gift, you may want to order it early to ensure a timely delivery.

In the meantime, Samsung Galaxy S owners in the United Sates of the Samsung Epic 4G, Samsung Fascinate, Samsung Captivate and Samsung Vibrant are still waiting for an update to Android 2.2 Froyo.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab is coming this week and later to Verizon, Sprint, T-Mobile and AT&T.
