Thumbnail image for verizonltewebsite.JPGVerizon Wireless will hold a news conference featuring Tony Melone,
senior vice president and chief technical officer of Verizon Wireless,
who will detail the company's major 4G LTE network launch tomorrow (12/1) at noon EST.

Verizon Wireless will launch the world's largest 4G LTE network in 38
major metropolitan areas, covering more than 110 million Americans,
before the end of the year.

Analysts and users alike are eagerly awaiting pricing.  Some suggest that pricing will be tiered according to usage.  We'll know more tomorrow.

Verizon claims that its 4G LTE will offer download speeds of 5-12Mbps and upload speeds of 2-5Mbps.  Verizon suggests that 4G LTE
can be used for watching video conferencing, Skype, video viewing,
uploading photos, mulitplayer games and networking for business.

"It's the dawn of the new age of mobile greatness.  Bask in it and enjoy."

It has been reported that the first services will be USB modems for access followed by 4G LTE smartphones in February.

The Verizon Wireless 4G LTE network was announced at CTIA in October.
