In an exclusive interview with GSMA Mobile World Live, HTC CEO Peter Chou said that LG will launch its first LTE handset next year. The United States is expected to be a key market for LTE models.
"We think that the US mobile operators will be taking the lead and
pushing 4G LTE in the US market... We are working on LTE devices for
next year," Chou said in a video interview with Mobile World Live.
HTC LTE smartphones are likely to be based on Google's Android operating
system and Windows Phone 7. HTC is focusing on these platforms.

Chou also noted HTC's commitment to cloud computing and HTCSense.com, which
allows users of HTC's Android-based smartphones to manage smartphone
data on a website. Currently, the only operator to offer an LTE handset is MetroPCS with
the Samsung Craft. Verizon launched its LTE network on December 5, but
it only offers the 4G LTE service for USB modems/hotspots.
