LG Optimus Optimal Dual Core Processor: LG Optimus 2XLG officially announced the first dual core processors smartphone, the LG Optimus 2X.  The LG Optimus 2X's high-performance Tegra 2 makes processing faster and provides more power for video.  The LG Optimus 2X has full 1080p HDMI video output/recording, an 8MP video/camera and front-facing 1.3MP camera.

The LG Optimus 2X has many optimal features, including a 4-inch WVGA touchscreen and 8GB internal storage that runs Android 2.2 Froyo.  An update to Android 2.3 Gingerbread is promised in "due course."

The LG Optimus series of inexpensive entry-level smartphones has been very popular in the United States.  There is no word yet on how much the LG Optimus Optimal Dual Core Processor: LG Optimus 2XLG Optimus Optimal Dual Core Processor: LG Optimus 2X LG Optimus 2X costs.
Developed by the graphics processor powerhouse, NVIDIA, the dual-core Tegra 2 system-on-a-chip found in the LG Optimus 2X runs at a clock speed of 1GHz and boasts low-power consumption and high performance for playing video and audio.  Users will experience faster web browsing and smoother gameplay compared with single-core processors running at the same speed.  They will also experience instantaneous touch response and seamless multitasking between applications.

HDMI mirroring expands content on external displays to full HD quality.  The LG Optimus 2X can connect wirelessly to any DLNA (Digital Living Network Alliance) compatible digital TV for a console-like gaming experience taking full advantage of the phone's HDMI mirroring, accelerometer and gyro sensor.
