Samsung Galaxy S App: GPS Restore Updates GPS to Fix Samsung Captivate, and Vibrant

GPS Restore resets the GPS settings to the default settings on these Samsung Galaxy S phones.  By resetting the GPS, it corrects GPS problems believed to be caused by carriers.

Samsung Galaxy S owners in the United States have been waiting for an update from their carriers for sometime.  The GPS Restore app should help until an update is available.

There have been GPS issues on the Samsung Captivate and Vibrant for a while.  Users have reported that the app helps with GPS.

 
The Samsung GPS Restore app is available in Android Market.

There has been no date set as to when the update will reach all the Samsung Galaxy S smartphones in the U.S., including the Samsung Epic 4G, Samsung Fascinate, Samsung Captivate and Samsung Vibrant.

have a super fast 1GHz hummingbird processor with efficient 3D graphics
processing, Super AMOLED 4-inch touchsreen, 5-megapixel camera,
microSD, Wi-Fi, and Android 2.1.  Samsung has added on TouchWiz software
for a social hub as well as a media hub for online viewing. 
Differences come in the amount of internal storage, size of the microSD
card included, mobile hotspot capabilities, keyboard style and the speed
of data networks.
