Alltel Wireless announced the LG Axis, an Android 2.1 smartphone with a 3.2-megapixel camera, 3.2-inch touchscreen, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and landscape QWERTY slider keyboard like the LG Ally.
The LG Axis also allows users the ability to customize up to five different home screens by adding or removing shortcuts to their favorite applications and widgets, creating a unique phone that is tailored to meet their personal needs.
The LG Axis comes with Google Maps Navigation including voice-aided, turn-by-turn directions. The 3.2-megapixel digital camera and camcorder has a 4x zoom.
The LG Axis also features multifunction usage that allows customers to play music in the background while sending messages or surfing the web.
LG Axis is available at Alltel Wireless for $89.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and a two-year service agreement.Alltel Wireless continues to be an industry leader, providing customers its exclusive "My Circle" feature - unlimited calling to and from any 5, 15 or 25 numbers on any network, as well as unlimited text to their circle on select plans.
