CTIA Wireless: CEOs, Big Idea Voting, Unplugged & Speakers Open

CTIA.JPGCTIA made several announcements regarding events, speakers and awards during International CTIA WIRELESS, March 22-24, 2011 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando.  CEOs from the four major carriers will open the event.  Voting is now open for the Big Idea Contest.   Lady Antebellum will perform at CTIA Unplugged.  CTIA is accepting submissions from speakers.

International CTIA WIRELESS 2011 will open with the CEOs of the four
largest U.S. mobile carriers sharing the stage for a keynote roundtable. 
Ralph de la Vega (AT&T), Dan Hesse (Sprint), Philipp Humm (T-Mobile), and Dan Mead
(Verizon Wireless) will discuss mobile broadband futures and the impact
of wireless data connectivity in a discussion moderated by CNBC "Mad
Money" host Jim Cramer.
CTIA launched its public voting site for the new Big Idea Contest. Designed
to highlight the latest, most innovative use of wireless technology, the
program attracted entries from more than 40 applicants vying for the
opportunity to present their product, application or service to the
attendees at International CTIA WIRELESS.  Online voting between now and
February 10 will determine five finalists, and CTIA will name three winners on March 22
who will present live at the show.Wireless and telecom industry
professionals may review and vote for The BIG Idea Contest submissions
at www.ctiashow.com/bigidea.

The CTIA Unplugged event will feature the triple platinum award-winning
vocal group Lady Antebellum at Hard Rock LIVE, Orlando,  6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 23, 2011.  Tickets cost $85 and are available at www.ctiashow.com/unplugged.

CTIA is now accepting speaker submissions for its educational program.
Industry leaders, influencers and business executives are invited to
submit speaker abstracts.  Topics under consideration range from 4G
networks, security and the cloud to M2M and vertical market deployment.

The deadline for the CTIA  E-Tech Awards is January 31.
