Motorola will be trying to tackle Apple and the iPad during the Super Bowl. The Motorola XOOM takes an axe to the Apple regency since 1984 and the original 1984 Apple commercial. The Motorola XOOM seems to be making more goals and touchdowns. Motorola CEO, Sanjay Jha, recently confirmed that the Motorola XOOM will be launched in the end of February or in March.

The ad doesn't point out that the Motorola XOOM has a 10.1" widescreen (1280x800) HD touchscreen that's larger than the iPad. Some bloggers suggest that it is unfair to compare the Motorola XOOM to the iPad and that it should be compared to the iPad 2, which has not been announced yet.

with the new Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system and a dual-core
processor, with each core running at 1GHz and delivering up to 2GHz of
processing power.
It will first launch at Verizon with 3G and then will upgrade to LTE.
The Motorola XOOM allows users to view HD content, supports 1080p HD video, and has an HDMI output.

features a front-facing 2-megapixel camera for video chats over Wi-Fi
or 3G/4G LTE, as well as a rear-facing 5-megapixel camera that captures
video in 720p HD. Other features include 32GB of storage, SD slot for card support (after a firmware update) and 1GB DDR2 RAM.
