Samsung announced four new Samsung phones as part of the Samsung Galaxy family - the Samsung Galaxy Ace, the Samsung Galaxy Fit, the Samsung Galaxy Gio, and the Samsung Galaxy mini.
Designed for a broader consumer market, the Android 2.2-powered Samsung Galaxy Ace, Fit, Gio, and mini all have enhanced Samsung multimedia apps as well as a social hub. When we hear the broader consumer base from a phone maker, it usually means more reasonably priced and cheaper phones, such as the LG Optimus series of less expensive Android 2.2 smartphones, which have similar specs.
Each of the new family of Samsung Galaxy phones has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and special Samsung software. The phones don't have Super AMOLED touchscreens like their more expensive, classier cousins, the Samsung Galaxy S phones in the United States.

These are not as powerful as the Samsung 4G LTE smartphone that's coming to Verizon. Users have access to limitless entertainment possibilities through over
100,000 applications from Android Market and Samsung Apps, while quick
communication is enabled via QuickType by SWYPE text input. The Social
Hub lets users view their contacts, SNS, IM and email together in an
integrated one-page layout, keeping them constantly connected.
The Samsung Galaxy family was inspired by the success of the original
Samsung Galaxy S, which has sold an astonishing 10 million devices in
just seven months. In designing this family of smartphone, Samsung has
taken the award-winning Samsung Galaxy S and tailored it to meet the
diverse and growing needs of consumers. The Samsung Galaxy family will
be showcased at the Mobile World Congress from February 14 to 17 in
Barcelona.
