T-Mobile unveiled the next Samsung Galaxy S phone, the Samsung Galaxy S 4G running Android 2.2 Froyo, which it claims is the first smartphone capable of delivering theoretical peak download speeds of up to 21 Mbps with a Super AMOLED touchscreen.  Also announced today was the return of the Sidekick 4G.  T-Mobile CEO Philip Humm said that T-Mobile will unveil 25 4G devices this year.

T-Mobile marketing director Cole Brodman told PC Magazine that the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant will get an update to Android 2.2 Froyo tomorrow!

Details are scant on this phone often referred to as the Samsung Vibrant
4G
.  Specs reportedly will include a front-facing camera, 4-inch
Super AMOLED touchscreen, 1GHz processor, 16GB memory onboard, Wi-Fi,
Bluetooth, and a 5-megapixel camera with the Movie "Inception" preloaded.

T-Mobile also claims that Samsung Galaxy S 4G will be affordable with 4G data plans from $10 per month for a "limited-time."  The $10 a month plan includes 200MB of data to use for web browsing, email, downloading apps and viewing videos.  The amount of video you view will be really limited.  You can benefit by the plan if you only use data for email.  For example, if you send/receive 100 email messages a day, that will put you at 193MB a month.

T-Mobile does offer an ulimited voice text and data plan for $99 a month.  Sprint will increase its unlimited data/voice plan to $79.99
starting January 30.  The T-Mobile website is showing a 1,500 minute and
unlimited text/data plan for a limited time only.  There appears to be
the choice of only unlimited data or $10 data.

The T-Mobile Offer is available for new activations and for existing lines with new data service.

More information on the Galaxy S 4G from T-Mobile will be available in the coming weeks.

T-Mobile's HSPA+ 4G network is not in all cities.  The Galaxy S 4G product name refers to the fact that the Galaxy S 4G is designed with HSPA+ technology preloaded.
