Update 2/22/2011:
It is with great sadness that I learned today of the killing of all the Americans on board the SV Quest including my friends Jean and Scott Adam.
Scott helped people believe in themselves. Scott loved sailing and found a great partner in Jean to sail with him around the world.
Scott and Jean were inspiring because they had a mission. They shared their blessings and love wherever they went.
They will be missed.
May you rest in peace with smooth sailing in the hereafter.
Thank you for sharing your love and light with us.

On a personal note, I would like to send good wishes to Jean and Scott Adam who were captured by Somalia pirates on Friday in the Arabian Sea. Also on board are Phyllis Macay and Bob Riggle from Seattle, Washington.
I interviewed Scott Adam several years ago for PC Laptop Magazine for an article about how he used GPS on his yacht. I also helped Jean Adam learn to use photo editing software.
Dear Scott and Jean,
When you are released, if you ever read this, know that your friends in Los Angeles are praying for you.
Let me know if you need help with anything.

It was interesting to see how many errors have been reported about the Adams, who are not an Orange County couple. They both lived in the Venice/Marina Del Rey area until they moved on to the SV Quest, which they docked in Marina Del Rey when visiting the Los Angeles Area.
