There are a whole lot of phone releases in the month of February (see release calendar). AT&T announced today that the HTC Freestyle will go on sale February 13 for $99.99 with a contract and $50 mail-in rebate. It is the same price as the HTC Inspire 4G, a super-powered Android smartphone, and is released a few weeks before the 4G Motorola Atrix.
The HTC Freestyle features a 3.2-inch touchscreen
display and the HTC Sense experience with
customizable widgets and FriendStream app for social networking
integration, a full HTML browser, and a 3.2-megapixel camera.
The HTC Freestyle is considered to be a quick-messaging phone running Brew MP with smartphone-like features, including Bluetooth, Music, web browsing, and GPS, and it is microSD compatible. It looks as if it does not have a keyboard.
The HTC Freestyle is the first Brew MP quick-messaging phone. Bew MP allows AT&T and developers to more easily
offer smartphone-like applications to customers who want a full-featured
messaging phone.
