Over the weekend there were many rumors that the instead of the February 24 launch date for the ThunderBolt by HTC, it would be delayed. Since Verizon made one new arrival announcement for this week, when they revealed on Tuesday that the Motorola Xoom tablet will launch today on February 24, we knew it would not be this week. The smartphone's release has been so elusive many have called it the HTC Thunder-Myth!
A new commercial for the ThunderBolt by HTC was revealed on Tuesday. There were two different prices for the first 4G LTE Android smartphone from Verizon in Best Buy publications. New reports suggest that the HTC ThunderBolt will launch next week on March 3 or 4. Since most Verizon smartphone launches are on Thursdays it most likely will be March 3.
There was tweet from Best Buy Store #129 that stated "HTC ThunderBolt launch has been delayed 🙁 It looks like it may launch on Thursday March 4th. Stay tuned for more."
The tweet has been removed from the that Best Buy's Twitter page. The problem with the tweet is that March 4 is a Friday not a Thursday.
There were also leaked information from a forum member who attended a VIP Verizon event who also said the HTC ThunderBolt would launch on March 3 or 4 with an unlimited 4G LTE data plan for $29.999 a month.
We should know if it is launching next week officially on Tuesday March 1. The HTC ThunderBolt will be the first 4G LTE Android smartphone from Verizon Wireless.
