Here we go again. After a spate of rumors about the release date and pricing of the HTC ThunderBolt yesterday, suggesting a $29.99 a month unlimited data plan and March 3 or 4 release date, there are new rumors....
Late last night, an old Best Buy screenshot showed a release date of March 10. A recent post from one blogger suggested that it won't come out until April!
The price of $299 appeared in a leaked Best Buy ad today, while previous Best Buy publications showed a price of $249.99 or $299.99. There are now signs promoting the HTC ThunderBolt and cases stocked in Best Buy retail stores, making a case that the it is coming soon. The same case is for sale at Best Buy online.
We should know if it is launching next week officially on Tuesday March 1. The HTC ThunderBolt will be the first 4G LTE Android smartphone from Verizon Wireless.
The HTC ThunderBolt is a 4G LTE Android 2.2 smartphone with HTC
Sense,
a 4.3-inch touchscreen, 1GHz Snapdragon processor, Skype video calling,
mobile hotspots, GPS, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Other features include a
built-in kickstand, Dolby/SRS surround sound, and DLNA support.
Our favorite comment about the "HTC ThunderBolt" speculation situation:
"Verizon never officially gave a release date it's all been
online rumors so I don't understand why people get pissed off. Just stop
reading from unreliable sources.'

Things keep getting worse and worse for anyone interested in the Thunderbolt. I've already heard of people who have preordered a Thunderbolt, expecting one already, who have been forced to be totally without a cell phone in the meantime. .
I went to Best Buy earlier today, and was told the Thunderbolt would be out 3/17. If St. Patrick could drive all the snakes out of Ireland, maybe he can make the release date happen...
