visitors from 200 countries attended the 2011 GSMA Mobile World

- Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy S II and other phones for Europe.
- HTC showed the HTC Incredible S as well as the Facebook-buttoned HTC ChaCha and HTC Salsa.
- Sony announced the Xperia Play, Xperia Pro and Xperia Neo.
- Sonim dropped the Sonim XP3300 many feet and submerged it in water to show its durability.
- Motorola announced pricing for the Motorola Xoom and also announced several new Android services.

- T-Mobile announced that the Samsung Galaxy S 4G will be released on 2/23.
- Verizon demoed the new VoLTE voice service with HD voice quality.
- AT&T will start selling the Motorola Atrix on February 23.
