Motorola Xoom Super Bowl Kick-Off with Super $800 Price Xooming on February 24 Launch

Motorola Xoom Docks Keyboard.JPGAfter its kick-off in a Super Bowl commercial yesterday, with a guy sending virtual flowers to the pretty girl with earphones in her ears, a Best Buy ad has leaked with the launch date of the Motorola Xoom.

Yes, Best Buy, the same place where you place an order for the HTC ThunderBolt without knowing the price or a launch date, will start selling the Motorola Xoom on February 24 for the price of $799, which has led some bloggers to question why it costs $300 more than the iPad.  The Motorola Xoom will be upgraded to use 4G LTE in the future.
Motorola is expected to flood the market with 1 million Xoom tablets shipped in the first quarter of this year.

Motorola has also launched webpages for the Motorola Xoom, including a sound dock, charging dock and wireless keyboard.

With the Speaker HD Dock, you can charge, watch TV and movies in HD, or listen to tunes - without having
to attach external speakers.  This programmable dock doubles as a hub, providing an HDMI port for
easy connectivity.  The Standard Dock can be set in the default view to
clock mode, or as photo gallery.  You can also connect external speakers to the dock.

The Motorola Xoom won many awards at CES.  The Motorola Xoom tablet was announced at CES
with the new Android 3.0 Honeycomb operating system and a dual-core
processor, with each core running at 1GHz and delivering up to 2GHz of
processing power.

The Motorola Xoom allows users to view HD content, supports 1080p HD video, and has an HDMI output.

The Motorola Xoom
features a front-facing 2-megapixel camera for video chats over Wi-Fi
or 3G/4G LTE, as well as a rear-facing 5-megapixel camera that captures
video in 720p HD.  Other features include 32GB of storage, SD slot for card support (after a firmware update) and 1GB DDR2 RAM.

There is no indication yet from Verizon Wireless online when it will officially go on sale or presale.
