Samsung Galaxy S News: Samsung Intros Samsung Galaxy S II (S2)

Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy S II at Mobile World Congress, calling it the world's thinnest smartphone.  It's yet another Android 2.3 Gingerbread release today besides the Xperia Play, Xperia Pro and Xperia Neo.

The press release calls the Samsung GALAXY S II  (Model: GT-I9100) a beautifully thin (8.49mm) and lightweight, dual-core smartphone.  Features include HSPA+ connectivity, 8MP camera/camcorder (1080 HD), Super AMOLED Plus 4.3" touchscreen with power reduction, NFC, Bluetooth and special Samsung TouchWhiz UI features.

Technical specs are Samsung Dual-Core Application Processor, 1GB RAM on board, 16GB/32G MicroSD (up to 32GB), A-GPS, and DLNA AllShare.

Business users will like the VPN, on-device-encryption, Microsoft
Exchange Active Sync, Cisco WebEx support and Mobile Device Management
features.

Samsung media features are the Social Hub, Readers Hub, Game Hub and
Music Hub.  A new feature is Kies air for transfer of files over Wi-Fi.
