Samsung Galaxy S Update News: Samsung Epic 4G Update 2 Android 2.2 Froyo Stopped

SamsungGalaxySUpdateNews.jpgToday appears to be update stop day.  Microsoft stopped sending its Windows Phone 7 update to Samsung phones.  Now, after only a few days of rolling out the Android 2.2 Froyo update for the Samsung Epic 4G from Sprint, the update roll-out has been pulled.

We have confirmed from the Samsung public relations rep that the update has been stopped.  We are expecting an official statement from Samsung once it has been approved.

"The issues being reported are related to data connectivity following
the upgrade and SD card issues when attempting to access photos, music,
etc," noted a Sprint Forum post.  "If you are experiencing these
issues, a hard reset has been reported to resolve the problems."

The Samsung Galaxy S, Samsung Captivate, is getting an update to the Android 2.2 Froyo today via the Kies Mini app.

Many of the Samsung Galaxy S phones were named in Wireless and Mobile News' Review of Reviews Top Ten Best Android an' Droid Phones Now an' Later, as well as the Top Ten Best Smartphones.
