WHERE introduced Perfect Places friend location recommendations. This new feature recommends
nearby places for users to go by matching relevant similarities in friend's tastes. The WHERE blog claims that the feature will end endless emails strings. Perfect Places is powered by WHERE's
recommendation engine.
Bumping phones with another WHERE user enables the Perfect Places function to be shared. Users can
now receive recommendations for Perfect Places simply by 'bumping' their
phones together. To deliver the feature to users, WHERE has
partnered with Silicon Valley-based mobile startup, Bump.
The news release says, " It's a fun way
to break the ice and an incredible time-saver. Bumping through WHERE
comes in handy anytime, whether you're out with friends or want to
figure out where to go with someone you just met."
WHERE also allows users to connect with Facebook friends already using WHERE and invite others
to join! Friends on WHERE can share favorite places, their WHERE Lists,
and see 'Perfect Places' picked just for them.
Perfect Places is currently available for the latest version of WHERE on iPhone and Android, and www.where.com. Releases on other major platforms are expected within the month.
