Windows Phone 7 News: HTC Trophy (HTC 7 Trophy) Shows Verizon Logo

WindowsPHone7.jpgThere have been rumors recently that Verizon will be offering a Windows Phone 7 smartphone soon, with the latest version of Windows Phone 7, called either the HTC Trophy or HTC 7 Trophy.

Engadget showed a leaked photo of an HTC Windows Phone 7 smartphone, with the Verizon logo on it and a red home screen.  Their source reported that the software has copy/paste functions.  The Verizon HTC Trophy reportedly has all the features of the European version of the HTC Trophy, including a 3.8-inch 480 x 800 touchscreen, 1GHz Snapdragon (QSD8250) processor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, FM radio and 5-megapixel camera with LED flash.
Windows Phone 7 smartphone users started getting an update last week that
didn't work on Samsung phones, as a precursor to updates for the
copy/paste update.

Sprint, last week, announced that the HTC Arrive, a landscape QWERTY Windows Phone 7, will arrive on March 20.  There is no official word yet when the HTC Trophy will arrive from Verizon.

There have been reports that the HTC Trophy will launch in mid March for $199 with a two-year contract.

Verizon has been slow to release new phones lately, with many delays of the release of the LTE 4G HTC ThunderBolt.
