Now you have a choice of pure Google smartphone networks as Sprint announced the Samsung Nexus S 4G that uses the Sprint WiMAX 4G data network and comes with the latest version of Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The Nexus S 4G from T-Mobile has gotten good reviews, mainly because updates to Android are almost instantaneous when Google releases a new version of Android.
The Sprint Nexus S 4G has a 1GHz Samsung application processor
that produces rich 3D-like graphics, with a dedicated Graphics
Processing Unit (GPU). The Nexus S 4G has a Super AMOLED curved
touchscreen, NFC technology, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspots, GPS and 1500mAh battery.
The Nexus S 4G features a 5 megapixel rear-facing camera and camcorder and front-facing VGA camera. The Nexus S 4G also features a gyroscope sensor for smooth, fluid gaming.
It also integrates with Google Voice. Sprint Nexus S 4G
customers can use their current Sprint wireless phone number as
their Google Voice number without having to port their number.
Nexus S 4G from Google will be available exclusively from
Sprint this spring for $199.99 with a new two-year service agreement or
eligible upgrade. Is is expected to be released this spring.
