iPhone 5 Wrapped in Aluminum Foils Antennagate? New leaks suggest some changes to the next iPhone, the iPhone 5. The Chinese Economic Daily News reported that the back plate of the next iPhone 5 will be aluminum and not glass like the current iPhone 4, making the iPhone lighter. It has also been suggested that the antenna has been moved to the Apple logo - on the back of the iPhone.
Droid X 2 Passes FCC? The FCC has tested a smartphone by the name IHDT56MJ, with CDMA and EVDO support, and has requested that it be held confidential for 180 days. Some bloggers believe it is the Droid X2. The time table suggests an August launch around the same time as the original Droid X launch. The Droid X2 is suspected to ship with Android 2.2 and to have a dual-core processor.
Google Maps Updated with Real-Time Traffic Avoidance - Android Google maps now offers different routes, including shortest and fastest. Real-time traffic is considered in the routes, and different routes are suggested to avoid traffic.
Samsung Announced Galaxy Pro Smartphone - Samsung
announced the the full QWERTY Galaxy Pro Smartphone that looks like a
square BlackBerry with a 2.8-inch touchscreen, 800MHz processor,
3-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Social/Media Hubs, TouchWiz, Bluetooth,
accelerometer and 1350mAH battery. It will sell in the U.K., followed by
other European countries, the Middle East, South East Asia and India.

The iPhone 4 is my first iPhone, and while I love the tech specs on it and enjoyable with iFunia video converter on the fly trip, I find myself appreciating the feel of the 3Gs. The glass back is a bit of a pain…I’m so caution it’s ridiculous. So if Apple decides to loose the brick look for a more sleek curved design, and it comes with an aluminum back them I’m all for it.
