Commando News: Casio Commando with Gz'Gear April 28 Release Date

gzonecommando.jpgSpring is when we see new buds and also a slew of new Android release dates.  Verizon and Casio announced the Casio G'zOne Commando today, a new super rugged Android 2.2 smartphone that can handle lots of abuse from the elements.

The Casio G'zOne Commando comes with Gz'Gear software, containing eight different modes with Triple Sensor technology, using direction, acceleration and temperature.

The Casio G'zOne Commando also has a 5-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash, video capture, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and mobile hotspots.It meets Military Standards 810G for Immersion, Rain, Shock and Dust Resistant, Vibration, Salt Fog, Humidity, Solar Radiation, Altitude, Low and High Temperature Storage.

The Casio G'zOne Commando has a GPS-assisted compass that shows nearby landmarks, and it has a pedometer, adventure software, trip memory, tide data, thermometer, sun/moon rising/setting tracking, and GPS-aided star-gazing.

The Casio G'zOne Commando will be available from Verizon Wireless starting April 28 for $199.99 with a new contract.
