We just got the official word form Samsung that the release date for the Samsung Droid Charge will be April 28 at Verizon Wireless. To sweeten the deal, buyers also get a free $25 Media Hub
movie credit from Samsung.
Samsung Droid Charge has a 1GHz processor, Android 2.2
Froyo 4G LTE, 4.3" super AMOLED touchscreen, an 8MP
rear-facing camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and HDMI port. It also comes with the ability to connect to up to 10 mobile hotspots. Other
features include a 1.3MP front-facing camera, 2GB of internal storage
and 32GB on a microSD card. It uses the 5G-rated Verizon 4G LTE data network.
The Samsung Droid Charge was originally called the Samsung 4G LTE, then it was referred to as the Samsung Stealth.
It will have Samsung Media Hub to rent or buy films and TV shows. The virtual QWERTY keyboard uses Swype Technology.
The Droid Charge by Samsung will be available for $299.99 with a new two-year contract.
The Samsung Droid Charge is the toughest competitor to the well-reviewed HTC ThunderBolt that now holds the top smartphone
