Motorola is delaying the launch of the Droid Bionic to make improvements. Motorola has delayed the release date from second quarter to a release with Verizon in the summer.
A spokeswoman told the World Street Journal that Motorola is incorporating several enhancements that will include feedback from the Consumer Electronics Show.
This announcement lowers the number of immediately available 4G LTE smartphones on the Verizon network to the Samsung Droid Charge and the currently available HTC ThunderBolt.
Unconfirmed rumors suggested that there were problems with the processor.
The Motorola Droid Bionic is an Android 2.2-based smartphone with 4G LTE. At the CES, the Motorola Droid Bionic was announced to have
a dual-core processor with each core running at 1GHz, delivering up to
2GHz of processing power and 512MB RAM. With 4G LTE, speeds are up to 10
times faster than 3G.
