Today must be slip-out-information-by-mistake day because Wirefly had posted an unboxing video of the Droid Incredible 2 in YouTube, which is now private and can't be viewed by the general public. There was also a rumor that there would be an April 28 release date with preorders starting at 3:00 am EST tomorrow from Wirefly.
We contacted Wirefly and was informed that they are waiting to hear from both HTC and Verizon to find out when they can start taking orders for the Droid Incredible 2.
Yesterday, evidence suggested that the Droid Incredible 2 would be launched on April 28 due to demo software in Android Market and other links. Then there was news this morning that the Samsung Droid Charge would be released on the same day.
April 28 could be a double-Droid day at Verizon Wireless. We do know if the DroidLanding Twitter account will be promoting the Droid Charge, and there may be another Droid landing.
Specs of the Droid Incredible 2 include a 4-inch WVGA (800
x480) touchscreen (previous Incredible had a 3.7"), an 8MP camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, 1GHz Qualcomm
processor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, STR WOW HD surround sound, and a 1450mAh battery. The Droid Incredible 2 will supposedly be priced at $199.99.
Wirefly usually offers smartphones from Verizon at lower rates - for as much as $50-$150 depending on the offer.
It appears in our list of top Android an' Droid phones now and later.
