The next generation Droid X, the Droid X2, shows a dual-core processor in a leaked boot video. This is a major upgrade from the original Droid X. The 2 may stand for NVIDIA Tegra 2, too.
The video shows a clear shot of the Motorola logo showing dual-core and the famous Droid eye. Today, we learned the Droid X2 will supposedly be priced at $199.99.
The Droid X2 will have a qHD (540x960) touchscreen and will most
likely run Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The release date is expected to be in the
summer, in sync with the original Droid X release date.
Some suggest that the processor is a NVIDIA Tegra dual-core. As far as we know, it will not be 4G LTE like the HTC ThunderBolt, Samsung Droid Charge and LG Revolution.
Another upcoming Verizon Wireless smartphone is the Droid Incredible 2.
Many of these phones appear in Wireless and Mobile News' top Android an' Droid phones now and later.
