New Verizon Release Dates: Droid Charge Release Date 4/14, Droid Incredible 2 4/21 & Xperia Play 4/28

DroidChargeBanner.JPGVerizon Wireless has been holding back releases of its 4G LTE smartphones.  Anxious 4G LTE fans had to wait over a month after presales to get their hands on the HTC ThunderBolt.  Previous leaks suggested an April 7 release date for the Samsung Droid Charge.  A store planogram showed a release schedule with the Droid Charge by Samsung launching on April 14.  The Droid Incredible 2 has an April 21 release date and the Sony Ericsson Xperia Play launching on April 28.

As we all these leaked rumors, we should be sure of the Samsung Droid Charge release date by Tuesday April 12 because Verizon announces its Thursday releases on Tuesday.  The Sony Xperia Play may be delayed due to the disasters in Japan.
Planograms are charts that stores use to set up in store displays.

There was also a sneak peak showing a multimedia desktop dock in-store display, suggesting an imminent release date.

On
Thursday, we published a comparison of all HTC ThunderBolt,Samsung Droid Charge and Droid Bionic.

    • We always note with rumors that they are suspected and that we will only know when Verizon officially releases information.

  1. Yea but can you at least let us know where the rumor comes from. It can't have come out of thin air--which is how it looks now.

  2. for example, where this come from?

"A store planogram showed a release schedule with the Droid Charge by Samsung launching on April 14."

    • At Wireless and Mobile News we want to keep our readers happy and informed.

Our art department found a copy of the planogram from Sears, most likely a Sears employee.

It is now posted at the end of the article.

It's a delicate matter, because employees sign non-disclosure agreements and can lose their jobs for revealing information.

We know of several instances where Verizon employees were fired for leaking confidential information.
