As we mentioned previously today, spring is very prolific for flowers and smartphone release dates. Sprint has announced that its pure Google Android 2.3 Gingerbread smartphone, the Nexus S 4G, will be released on Sunday, May 8.
The Sprint Nexus S 4G has a 1GHz Samsung application processor that produces rich 3D-like graphics, with a dedicated Graphics Processing Unit (GPU). The Nexus S 4G has a Super AMOLED curved touchscreen, NFC technology, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, mobile hotspots, GPS and 1500mAh battery.The Nexus S 4G features a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera and camcorder and front-facing VGA camera. The Nexus S 4G also features a gyroscope sensor for smooth, fluid gaming.
It also integrates with Google Voice. Sprint Nexus S 4G customers can use their current Sprint wireless phone number as their Google Voice number without having to port their number.
With its pure Google experience, Sprint Nexus S 4G customers will be among the first to receive Android software updates.
