A leaked mapped devices schedule for Verizon Wireless shows the prices for Verizon's upcoming smartphones, including the Samsung Droid Charge ($299.99), HTC Droid Incredible 2 ($199.99), LG Revolution ($249.99) and Droid X2 ($199.99), which are suspected to have second quarter release dates or later.
The two 4G LTE smartphones are the Samsung Droid Charge and LG Revolution.
The Samsung Droid Charge is the toughest competitor to the well-reviewed HTC ThunderBolt that now holds the top smartphone
position at Verizon Wireless. We compared the Samsung Droid 4G Charge to the HTC ThunderBolt
and discovered that the features it has over the HTC ThunderBolt
are
the Super AMOLED touchscreen, HDMI port, and 1500mAH battery. The
original announcement said it had Skype. The suspected release date time
frame for the Samsung Droid Charge is fairly soon because its showed up
on the Walmart website recently.
The LG Revolution has a 4.3-inch touchscreen, 1GHz Snapdragon
processor, DLNA, HDMI, DivX compatibility, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi, 3G and
4G/LTE mobile hotspot
capabilities, and a
microSD card slot. Other features of the LG Revolution include recording/playing 1080p HD video and a rear-facing, 5-megapixel camera and front-facing camera for video conferencing. We discovered more specs yesterday.
When we reviewed 4G Networks, Verizon received 5Gs out of 5Gs for its
super fast network, with some speed tests beating land-based broadband
internet access.
Droid Incredible 2 features include a 4-inch WVGA (800
x480) touchscreen (previous Incredible had a 3.7"), a 1GHz Qualcomm
processor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and a 1450mAh battery. It was revealed a few days ago that it will be a world phone. There have been rumors of an April release date.
The Droid X2 is the successor to the Droid X and will have a qHD (540x960) and an improved processor that is suspected to be dual-core and Android 2.3 Gingerbread.
