ChangeWave Research took a look at AT&T and Verizon iPhone customer satisfaction, dropped-call rates, and future purchase plans. Verizon has a lower dropped-call rate. Satisfaction is about the same for both networks. Verizon is the first choice, however, for future iPhone buyers.
Customer satisfaction for both iPhones is very close with 82% of Verizon iPhone owners very satisfied and 80% of AT&T iPhone owners very satisfied.
Verizon iPhone 4 owners have a dropped-call rate of 1.8%, while
AT&T iPhone 4 owners have a dropped call rate of 4.8%, reported
ChangeWave.
ChangeWave points out that the iPhone is
new to the Verizon network, and there may be more pressure on the network
when more iPhones are using the network.
Verizon is the first choice for new iPhone buyers. 46% of those who plan on buying an iPhone 4 in the future say that they'll use
Verizon as their service provider compared with 27% for AT&T.
The reviews for the iPhone 4 from Verizon Wireless were excellent and noted lower dropped-call rates for the Verizon network with sometimes slower Verizon data rates. There is no official word yet on when there will be an iPhone 5 on AT&T or Verizon.
