Windows Phone App 2Day: TripAdvisor Advises Windows Phone Travelers

TTripAdvisor.JPGripAdvisor has been a valuable source to Wimonews editors when visiting Las Vegas for CES and CTIA.  We were able to discover where the trucks parked at one hotel so that we could ask to stay away from the big rig noise makers.  We were also able to get enough information about one noisy hotel to avoid.

Now the free TripAdvisor app is available in the Windows Phone 7
marketplace in 17 countries and 5 languages.  The app enables you to get travel advice available on TripAdvisor for hotels,
restaurants, attractions and flights.
The TripAdvisor app enables users to:

  • Access TripAdvisor's reviews and opinions
    for hotels, restaurants, and attractions.  Travelers can even add their
    own reviews while their experiences are fresh.
  • Use the "Near Me Now" feature that shows hotels, restaurants and attractions that are nearby.  It has the ability to find cheap flights using the flight seach engine.
  • Access the TripAdvisor forums, where users can ask questions of their fellow travelers and receive helpful feedback.
  • See traveler photos of hotels, restaurants, attractions and destinations.

TripAdvisor apps are also available for Android, iPhone, Nokia, and Palm.
