Today at BlackBerry World, RIM announced its next BlackBerry smartphones with its iconic one-handed keyboards combined with touchscreens and the new BlackBerry OS 7, running on a 1.2GHz processor.
They are named BlackBerry Bold - the 9900 series. The candy bar is thinner with a 2.8-inch VGA (640 x 480), 28 dpi touchscreen with a thumb-style keyboard, and optical trackpad. The BlackBerry smartphones are the BlackBerry Bold 9900 and BlackBerry Bold 9900.
The BlackBerry Bold 9900 is for GSM networks with HSPA+ data connections. The BlackBerry Bold 9930 is a CDMA phone for CDMA networks with EV-DO Rev A.Features of the BlackBerry Bold 9900/9930 include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC (Near Field Communications), microSD slot, 5MP camera, 768 MB of RAM, 8GB onboard memory and a 1230 mAh battery.
The new BlackBerry OS 7 includes improved web browsing, voice command search and the new BlackBerry Balance. BlackBerry Balance is designed to balance business and personal activities by keeping them separate by blocking work-related content and apps from being sent to personal contacts. BlackBerry Balance also enables remote corporate data wipe.
