Dare 2 Compare Verizon May 26 Releases: LG Revolution, Xperia Play and Droid X2

Dare2CompareLGrevolutionXperiaPlayDroidX2.JPGThe three releases tomorrow on the  Verizon Wireless network - the LG RevolutionDroid X2 and Sony Xperia Play - can be hard to compare.

We have made a "Dare 2 Compare" chart of the LG Revolution vs the Droid X2 vs the Sony Xperia Play (click on chart to enlarge it).

If you are trying to decide between the three, we suggest that you first decide whether you use a lot of data and want the speed of 4G LTE.  If 4G LTE is a priority, you will want to look at the LG Revolution, which also has the added advantage of Netflix preloaded and has the most storage on board with a 16GB microSD installed.  It also features a front-facing camera for video conferencing.
If you are a heavy game player and want a gamepad control and a free PlayStation game, the Sony Xperia Play
may be the best choice.  It also features a front-facing camera for
video conferencing but has a slightly smaller 4-inch touchscreen and the
lowest amount of storage on board.

If you need HDMI mirroring from your smartphone with a super fast processor, you will want to look at the Droid X2 that also has a higher resolution 8MP camera but lacks a front-facing camera.

They all have about the same battery capacity, so we don't compare battery power.  Please be forewarned that 4G LTE drains battery power quickly, and you may have to buy a second battery for the LG Revolution.

None of the May 26 releases have a Super AMOLED touchscreen.  That feature is available on the Sasmung Droid Charge.  Another choice for 4G LTE access is the HTC ThunderBolt.  Read Samsung Droid Charge vs HTC ThunderBolt comparison.

You can also compare the Droid X2 vs the Droid Charge to see which one is in charge.

We're still working on a ginormous chart of all current super
smartphones on the Verizon network.  We released a first draft on Facebook for our fans who like us.
