T-Mobile announced new plan combos for talk, unlimited talk and data without data overages with 200MB, 2GB, 5GB or 10GB high-speed 4G data.
T-Mobile is sweetening the deal with a web only offer that offers a $125 debit card when you switch to T-Mobile from another carrier.
All the plans also include unlimited nationwide T-Mobile to T-Mobile calling, unlimited nights and weekends, and text.
T-Mobile has ended the unlimited $30 option for smartphone users, leaving Verizon Wireless and Sprint as the only major unlimited data plan carriers.
Here's a breakdown of the prices and plans.
- Unlimlted Talk and Text only is $59.99 a month.
- Unlimited Talk, Text and Data plus 200MB of high-speed data is $69.99 a month.
- Unlimited Talk, Text and Data plus 2GB of high-speed data is $79.99 a month.
- Unlimited Talk, Text and Data plus 5GB of high-speed data is $89.99 a month.
- Unlimited Talk, Text and Data plus 10GB of high-speed data is $119.99 a month.
When the high-speed data ceiling on the plans is
reached in a single month, data speeds will "throttle" to slower speeds until the start of the next billing period.
Other T-Mobile deals include a free myTouch 4G that ends May 26.
T-Mobile claims that the $139.99 unlimited family plan with unlimited talk, unlimited
text and unlimited data with 2GB of high-speed data offers a savings of
more than $350 per person, per year on a two-line annual plan, compared
with similar smartphones plans from AT&T, Verizon and Sprint.

And still! What I'm looking for is any evidence that any company, or wireless service provider is looking to provide service to seniors at reasonable rates. Up till now, it's only Tracfone wireless, with their SVC brand that has caught onto the notion. Is there really so little money to be made that no one cares? Thank goodness there's at least one then.
