According to commercials running in Los Angeles, the Samsung Droid Charge from Verizon Wireless is "coming soon." Hunters in Chicago, Seattle, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Minneapolis, New York City, and Washington D.C. all have found and won their very own Samsung Droid Charge smartphones. The release is delayed, however, from what we've seen from early reviews, the Samsung Droid Charge appears to be worth the wait.

With no official announcement for a new release date for the delayed Samsung Droid Charge, bloggers have resorted to trying to figure out a release date from leaked Costco news' screenshots. Today's leaked Costco screenshot shows, "The Verizon Samsung Droid Charge 4G will not launch tomorrow. The phone cannot be displayed until the official launch day." An update will be issued tomorrow with the status of the release. Some are saying it will be released on May 5 with absolutely no proof to suggest that date.
So far, the Samsung Droid Charge winners have all been male. The same guy in Chicago, Ryan Wallace, who won the Droid X, won the Samsung Droid Charge that was hidden in popcorn in a movie theater (video follows).
In Seattle, the Samsung Droid Charge was on a merry-go-round seat. In Phoenix, it was hidden in a trash can. In Phiadelphia, a Samsung Droid Charge was hidden in a menu at an outdoor restaurant. In New York City, a Samsung Droid Charge was hidden in a Firehouse museum among emblems. After finding it, Jay Goldberg gave it to his friend who helped him find it.
In Minneapolis, the Samsung Droid Charge was under a bar. In Washington D.C., one was found in the spy museum. Videos of the Droid findings appear at the end of the article. Each video ends with the question, "Will you be next?"

Online retailers Wirefly and LetsTalk are taking preorders for the Samsung Droid Charge and are charging less for it. Amazon Wireless showed it backordered, then out of stock, and as of today, it shows "not available," which may foretell that this super smartphone will sell out.

I was in there today, and they showed me a cabinet full of them, saying that they have been available for several days, and that NOT ONE had been sold. Probably because no one knew they were there. This was in San Rafael, Ca.
