The Droid in the Droid family at Verizon is the Motorola Droid 3 with a release date sometime in June.
The Droid 3 has a lot in common with the Droid X2 except for the slide-out landscape keyboard like the original Droid and Droid 2
The Droid 3 has a 4" 960 x 540 qHD touchscreen, dual-core processor, and HDMI-out port. It also features an 8MP rear-facing camera and front-facing camera, while the Droid X2 lacks a front-facing camera.
Some sources believe that the Droid 3 will ship with Android 2.3
Gingerbread. Based on previous models, we believe the specs will include
Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, MotoBlur, GPS and a microSD card slot.
The keyboard has an added row for numbers, making it a five-row QWERTY keyboard.
No leaked rumors have been able to determine whether or not it will connect to the 4G LTE network. Reviewers of the Droid X2 loved its dual-core processor but disliked the lack of 4G LTE. The next Droid in the Droid clan is the Droid Bionic that was delayed by Motorola until "summer."
